Over the last week I have photographed 2 children’s art galleries, a teacher of the year award ceremony, a proclamation and a preschool open house for LAUP, a cool public benefit corp with the lofty goal of making high quality preschool available to every child in LA County by 2014, regardless of income. Rather than bore w/ photos from all of these events here is one I shot at the open house which sums up the week. Universal early education is super important so props to LAUP for working as leaders in the field, and to Pres Obama for his support. As with many issues, the future is looking brighter.
